A fantastic match this past Saturday between host nation, Brazil, and Chile. Brazil gained the lead early with a goal by Luiz (18′). The advantage was short-lived though as Chile scored a goal in the 32nd minute (Alexis). The draw held until the end of regular time leading to a 30 overtime period. After the scoreless overtime it was down to penalty kicks to determine the victor. Brazil emerged victorious with a 3-2 result on the kicks. They now move onto the quarterfinals.
