Kings Of Leon Cancel Portion of “Mechanical Bull” Tour

We hate being the bearer of bad news, but it has come to our attention that several shows on the upcoming Kings Of Leon “Mechanical Bull” 2014 Tour have been cancelled due to an injury sustained by the bands drummer, Nathan Followill.

Kings Of Leon has cancelled all shows on the Mechanical Bull tour over the next few weeks on the orders of Followill’s doctor. The band’s drummer is now recuperating after he broke a rib in an accident when the group’s bus was headed to their hotel following a Boston show. Nathan said at the time he was “banged up,” but his doctor is more specific on his recovery plan. “The process is now to rest in order for healing to take place,” says Dr. Faiz Bhora, chief of thoracic surgery. “To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to Aug. 28 is necessary,” the message continued.

At this time, the band is scheduled to make a return to the road on Aug. 28, where they will take the stage at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. “I’m counting down the days until I can get back in the saddle and continue what has been our best American tour so far,” Nathan says in a statement.

For a list of the cancelled dates, please see below. If your date is one that has been cancelled, don’t fret, A Place For Tickets has a solution! The band is set to continue playing shows throughout the year and we have great seats for all the upcoming shows, so call us at 1-866-922-8499 or 954-922-8899 or view and purchase tickets here.
